Work

Voice and guitar first. Everything else can be built on top of it.

Carl works in three lanes. In every one of them, the ask is the same: show him what you're making, and if he can hear the hook in it, he'll write on it.

For artists

Choruses & hooks

Solo artists, bands, producers, labels.

Carl's specialty is the vocal — the hook, the chorus, the line the listener sings back at you. Send him your track at any stage. If he hears the song in it, he'll write the chorus on it and sing it. Everything else — production, instrumentation, mix — can happen around what he's laid down.

The deal · No fee. No retainer. If the record earns, he keeps an agreed share of the song. If it doesn't, you don't pay him anything.

For film, TV & drama

Short-form music for the moment

Directors, producers, showrunners, music supervisors.

Thirty to sixty seconds of upbeat, hummable music written around a specific beat in the story. Theme tunes for sitcoms. Title cues for drama. The lift a scene needs when the words stop working. Voice and guitar led, produced up.

The deal · A modest usage fee for the placement and credit, with a share tied to how far the show travels. Structured to work for indies, not just majors.

For advertising

Original music for brand spots

Agencies, brand teams, in-house creative.

Short. Hummable. Written to land the point of the ad in one pass, not to sound like a stock library cue. Because it's original, the brand owns a piece of music that belongs to their story instead of borrowing someone else's.

The deal · Fee scaled to usage and reach. Talk to Carl — the numbers are always fair, and the ask is always a conversation first.
